Diagnostics

Transmission diagnostics involves a comprehensive process of assessing and analyzing the performance of a vehicle's transmission system to identify potential issues or malfunctions. Skilled technicians utilize specialized tools and equipment to conduct a thorough examination of various components, including the transmission fluid, filter, gears, and electronic controls.

The diagnostic process often includes a computerized scan to retrieve error codes from the vehicle's onboard computer, providing valuable insights into any underlying problems. Technicians also perform a road test to evaluate the transmission's behavior in real-world driving conditions. Through a combination of visual inspections, electronic analysis, and hands-on testing, transmission diagnostics aim to pinpoint issues such as slipping gears, fluid leaks, or electronic control module malfunctions.

This detailed assessment allows for the accurate identification of problems, enabling precise and effective repairs to restore the transmission's optimal functionality.

Transmission Fluid Exchange

Regular transmission fluid changes are crucial for maintaining the health and performance of a vehicle's transmission system. Transmission fluid serves multiple critical functions, including lubricating moving parts, cooling the transmission, and facilitating smooth gear shifts. Over time, this fluid can break down, becoming contaminated with debris and losing its effectiveness. A routine transmission fluid change helps to remove the old, degraded fluid and replace it with fresh, clean fluid, preventing friction, heat buildup, and potential damage to transmission components.

Additionally, a timely fluid change ensures proper viscosity, allowing the transmission to operate smoothly and efficiently. Neglecting this essential maintenance task can lead to increased wear and tear, decreased fuel efficiency, and a higher risk of costly transmission repairs. By prioritizing regular transmission fluid changes, vehicle owners can prolong the lifespan of their transmissions and enjoy consistent, reliable performance on the road.

Heated Transmission Cooler System Flush

A heated transmission cooler system flush is an advanced method of flushing out the old fluid and contaminants from the vehicles transmission cooler system. Unlike other types of cooler system flushes which may leave some residue behind, a heated pulsating flush involves using a specialized machine. It heats the flushing fluid to around 175 degrees Fahrenheit. The elevated temperatures and the pulsating pump help to dissolve and remove more contaminants, sludge and debris from the cooler system.

This thorough process contributes to better overall transmission replacement by reducing the risk of overheating, improving lubrication and enhancing the efficiency of the transmission cooler system. A heated transmission cooler system flush is necessary during a new transmission install.
